How to select overlay lines from highlighted routes

I have different set of black and white scanned map which each one has highlighted part by different color. Also, I overlay my street lines on top of it after Geo-refrenced all. I need to know is there anyway to select and clip street segments that are over highlighted routes from my paper maps.
