I am interested in a piece of property for which I have a plat map description, giving what seem to be latitudes/longitudes of lines along the boundaries (not sure about this). The objective is to locate the corners of the rectangular parcel.
The data given seems to define some lines (not points), and is in reference to portions of sections. It seems that I need to know the lat/long of the section corners to do this, but I am unable to find them.
How can I find the corners of the section? Do I need to? Here is part of the description:
"... sw 1/4 of ne 1/4 , sec 3, twshp 25 North, Range 2 East, W.M., in Kitsap County, WA, described as follows: Beginning at a point North 89 deg. 49' 02" West 71 ft. FROM THE SE CORNER OF SAID SW 1/4 OF THE NE 1/4; thence North 7 deg. 7'04" East 440.42 ft. ....." etc., etc.
I want to plug lat/long into my GPS and walk to the corners.
Can anyone help me with this?
