I have a question related to handling features dynamically.
In the two desktop GIS systems mentioned in the title - we can import CSV files or database tables as XY events. These can be handled as dynamic point features, so if the coordinate fields are updated in the table the features are updated automatically.
Can it be done with complex features somehow - e.g. polylines or polygons? Or these object are too complex to handle them like this? Can this be solved with desktop techniques or do I need to use GIS-server and advanced databases?
It would be useful and time-saving to update the coordinates in the attribute tables and features automatically update themselves.
