I'm quite new with GIS and hope, anybody can help me here: I try to create isolines from service points by using GRASS in QGIS 2.8.2. After connecting the road network (based on OSM data) with 45 points (geocoded service stations) via v.net (threshold 200), everything looks fine, but the attribute table lists 113,695 objects and 113,606 different cats. The created lines to the service stations have the same cat-number as the next road. After performing the alloc function, some roads, however, are "lost" and some lines (both new lines and “old” ones) are allocated to their own cats which differ from the remaining road network around the service stations. Finally, when I perform the iso function for some of the 45 points a network split is done and for others not. I suppose it is a cat-problem, but I do not know how to manage this problem. Can anybody help me? Thanks in advance!
p.s. I am not able to perform the functions via the command line (as I use windows ms).
