I have a USB GPS device I use on linux using GPSD. The device is SiRF/NMEA compatible but on booting up it starts up in SiRF mode and I need NMEA mode so I use "gpsctl -n" in my startup script but this does not always guarantee NMEA mode. Does anyone know a workaround?
