Geoserver runs an old version of Jetty , v6. Even the latest version of Geoserver I installed, still runs Jetty v6.
This causes a lot of technical problems because setting proxies and handling CORS headers is impossible. Jetty versions 6 to 8 are EOL now (=End of Life, not supported anymore). The latest version of Jetty is v9.
Has anybody tried to run Geoserver with Jetty 9? Is this possible or breaks Geoserver? Maybe the new versions of Jetty are not compadible, with Geoserver developed for older versions?
How can I update my Geoserver so it does not have a core so old?
