I am using a .csv file with separate date and time columns. When I export the data as a shapefile all the time data changes to 12:00AM I know there have been other threads about this problem but I can't seem to tease out what the solution is. I know there is a way to retain the time as I have done it before but somehow now I just cannot figure out what I did.
I am using ArcGIS 10 to try to do all this. Basically to take a .csv file with multiple data columns, including separate date and time columns, put it into ArcMap, display the XY data (which still retains the time data) and then export the data as a shapefile (which is where all the times turn to 12:00AM) without losing the time data.
