I have been using eclipse to help me write my scripts with arcpy and arcgis. I have been using add message in arcpy to help debug but that is very slow and doesn't always give me enough information. I would prefer to use a debugging environment which allows me to see the variables as the program is executing. I still need to be able to start the script in arcgis since it is using arc inputs that cannot be turned into static variables. I have set eclipse up in the geoprocessing debugging environment and have used the instructions found in pydev manual eclipse will start with the debugging server on but I can't get it to stop at my break points. I would love some help or suggestions?
