Do raster pixel depth & format transformations using copy raster and mosaic to new ra
I’ve downloaded the 19 bioclimatic variables from Worldclim and clipped the states of Arizona and California, next I modified pixel depth (using the copy raster tool) to have all rasters set at a 16 bits, so I could carry out the next step that was unify both rasters using the mosaic to new raster tool form Arcmap. Also I’ve converted from .GRID to .TIFF and from .TIFF to .ASC, to use the 19 bioclimatic layers as input for an ecological niche model (as .ASC). Im new at this, so my question is if all these transformations affect my initial data? do I have to pay special attention to some step of this methodology?
