I have 4 datasets organized in a PostGIS database each of the same geometry and location except they are at different times. They each have a corresponding datetime field. I can load these into a GeoServer Layer and I'm able to use the KML (plain) button to download the KML containing the 4 datasets and view them with the temporal slider bar in Google Earth (with time.ftl file). I then wanted to add a style (.sld) file that filled in the polygons with colors corresponding to their attributes, but when I added the style and downloaded the same data, the KML won't open in Google Earth. It tells me:

I can, however, use the network KML link and view the KML with the style I created, however, it only shows one of the datasets in my layer, not all 4, and Google Earth doesn't show the time slider. I can also use the time-enable setting in GeoServer to use the datetime field, this will allow me to download the KML (plain) file but again, only shows one of the datasets in my layer. this does show the style and time slider bar.
So, my .sld and .ftl files are good, my data is on the GeoServer, the times are correct...My question is, is there something I'm doing wrong, or something I can change to be able to download a KML of all 4 datasets in my layer, with my style, and view the time slider bar in Google Earth. I have not been able to acheive this.
