I am experiencing this issue longer time but sometimes it is really annoying so I would like to solve it.
When I save an image from QGIS - no matter when using Project/Save as image or using Export as image from Map composer with the world file switched on - every time I load such image back in QGIS I get strange colors. Upper part of the image has correct colors how it should look (and how it also looks in image viewer like XNview, Gwenview etc.) and lower how it looks in QGIS. No matter if PNG or JPG.
I somehow solved this using an QML style:
0But I am not sure how will these images look in other GIS software as the style is QGIS only. I also have to copy the style for every image - not much comfortable. Do I miss something with the image format?
thanks
PS: sample Openstreetmap based dataset is here (less than 700 kb file)https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/233015489/QGIS_JH/QGIS_raster_sample.zip
