Providing, attending and consulting services to patients of all ages in Dermatology. Dermatologist Consultant maintains efficient and effective care of patients as part of an integrated program of curative and preventive medical services with dermatology and/or venereal problems.
- Provides expert medical care for patients in the field of dermatology, as well as admits patients whenever indicated.
- Performs diagnostic and therapeutic Dermatologic procedures e.g. botox, dermal fillers, PRP. Incumbent should have experience to use (laser) in all its dermatological applications as required.
- Performs general and / or special examinations and procedures covering the full scope of his field. Orders laboratory examinations and x-rays, determines diagnosis and describes management.
- Provides consultation services to physicians of other specialties in his area of expertise (dermatology).
- Abides by the Medical Staff by laws, Code of Medical Ethics, Rules and Regulations of the Medical Staff and those specific to the department.
- Reports complications, unexpected progress or response to treatment to administration, recommending management plans and/or meetings with other consultants as required.
- Completes all outpatient medical records, also participates in completing in-patient records (clinical examinations, diagnosis, orders, management plan, progress notes and discharge plans).
- Responsible for writing and/or reviewing detailed medical reports whenever required by patients and/or companies.
- Reviews journals, texts or periodicals in order to keep current on latest techniques, procedures, drugs and therapy.
- Keeps confidentiality of the patient’s disease and does not provide any medical summaries or information about patients unless authorized according to hospital policies and procedures.
- Performs other miscellaneous related duties as required.
