I have never created a database and had some questions while I am doing my research.
I need the database to have maps and have access to files stored on my server, I think that is the correct terminology. The server is a shared drive that has files about different companies. I would like to have a database that I can separate the information and recall it by 3-4 different criteria. I would also like a map of each location to be included. So I can look at the location that I am interested in.
Is this a possibility? Is there a certain type of database I should be looking at? Any information would be helpful
