Job responsibilities:
Client related:
1. Assist patients who are critical, have long term illness.
2. Assist families of critically ill, dying or expired patients using a variety of methods, including psychometric tests, interviews and direct observation of behavior;
3. Devise relevant forms or other templates required for record keeping
4. Devising and monitoring appropriate therapy, counseling or advice, in collaboration with doctors, nurses, discharge planners, health visitors and physiotherapists;
5. Providing consultation to other professionals, encouraging a psychological approach in their work;
6. Running an outpatient clinic (8 hours a week )
Staff related:
1. Meeting staff, fostering positive mental health and personal growth.
2. Conduct stress management sessions on regular basis, once fortnightly.
3. Introduce stress assessment tests among staff in scheduled manner in the hospital.
4. Based on results, provide counseling as and when required.
5. Provide psychological support for staff while handling critical incidents.
6. Conduct counseling post critical incident faced by staff ( adverse /sentinel event, death of patient or death of loved ones)
7. Conduct mass debriefing post disaster.
8. Devise relevant forms or other templates required for record keeping
Note : Any other jobs those are relevant to Clinical psychology and arise during the course of employment.
