I was thinking about a Car Pooling System in Hong Kong where users can post their routes and we can match them based on the diversion , Shortest or fastest path.
Is it possible to have Google Maps Provide the Lat Long for the entire trip between 2 points; And then compare these data against all the all routes? Would that help us to give the data we want? Sorry i have just started on this topic and have a long way to go. Wanted to ask you folks to see if there is already an algorithm to come out with the analysis or we have to write our own algorithm to arrive at the solution?
