Bounding box path planner

I am looking into postgis to solve path planning problem.If someone could give hint on that matter it would be great.So problem is following: given a specific bounding box, plan route inside box(eg. snake move) to cover all of the box taking into account distance between two side closest paths (left or right).So if we imagine vehicle that is on the move, we would move in a snake move (for example) and take into the account how wide vehicle is (or we want it to be).In the begging coordinates could be given in WGS84 format for the bounding box itself, and vehicle could be tracked with with precise gps device.

Any hints?
