ASTER data error causing "bumps" in elevation

I am working in ArcScene (10.1) with some 30m resolution ASTER data from Indonesia, and am getting anomalous "bumps" in elevation in my study area. In google earth it is not there, and I know from walking there that it's not there, so I suspect it's an error in the radar reading. I was wondering if anyone knows any ways to smooth it out or otherwise reduce the error of this small area.

I found this article, describing a way to correct for these errors, but it's a bit above me.http://www.academia.edu/9144272/Det...EM_v2_Data_Anomalies_Through_DEM_Differencing

Here is a screenshot of the problem. The bumps are in the foreground, and in the center of the image.

And here is a screenshot of the same area in google earth, with no bumps:

Note that the same problem happens in 2D in ArcGIS Desktop, so it's not how i'm drawing it in ArcScene.
