I have two highway line shapefiles and am looking to assign the values of one to another. Right now I have a model that buffers FAF.shp and does a select by location on HPMS.shp. If HPMS is completely contained within FAF then certain values are carried over to HPMS. My problem now is that there are some lines that are outside of the buffer but are aligned with FAF, but they aren't receiving the values. Is there a way to carry over values from adjacent lines? I.e. if one line has a speed limit of 80 km/h but the adjacent line does not have a speed value, can the adjacent speed value be carried over? I hope this makes sense and somebody can guide me in the right direction!
