It's obviously a labour of love for some talented artist, but it got me thinking that you could crowdsource it: allow individuals to draw pieces on top of some OpenStreetMap basemap. Obviously it would have a restricted range of zoom levels, and would probably work best in some narrow geographic scope like a city centre.
Does anything like this exist?
(To be clear, I'm interested in crowdsourcing the art and the subjective interpretation, not the map data itself - OSM is plenty good enough.)
