In ArcGIS Server I can make users member of roles with specific permissions (users, publishers or admins) and access rights to services. Now I have an application (ArcGIS Viewer for Flex) using features services from the Server and I was wondering whether the ArcGIS server roles influence the editing permissions in the application.
I only want people with a specific role to be allowed to web-edit the feature layer while other roles should only be allowed to view the service. Is it possible to have that in one application? And if yes how?(In ArcGIS Online there are viewers and editors but on server I don't seem to have the same options)
Any help would be appreciated! I'm also ready to use other applications if needed.
