I have two different roads shapefiles. There are roads present in my second shapefile which are not present in first shapefile. I want to append all those roads from second into first one but i want that they must snap with the nearest roads. There must not be any gaps between them as there are already existing between both. Also my first road shapefile is capable for generating route, and i want to preserve that function for all roads even after appending. Any type of help would be appreciated. Tell me if i have to use python script for that or generating a new topology on that later on, or may be some database queries within oracle or postgres are capable to do that.
