analysis of GPS measurements

I would like to design something like a filter to reject the GPS measurements with low precision. I know that calculating the distance and acceleration by the given velocity and coordinates might be useful, considering that the sampling frequency is 5 [hz], therefore the measurements with more than 4 m/s2 or 15 m in 0.2 seconds are wrong and must be ignored.

Is there any other approach to verify the GPS measurements' precision?
