Add credits to OSM basemap in QGIS standalone application

I'd like to credit OpenStreetMaps with a small source attribution and a link at the bottom right of my application window, but I don't know how to do it. No amount of research I've done has provided any steps to do this programatically with an application built out of QGIS in Python.

I'd just like to add:



Is this doable in my main application script with some sort function out of QgsMapCanvas?
