What are some methods for assessing the accuracy of change detection, when performed on satellite images?
From whatever study I have done so far, comparison with ground truth is suggested but mostly such ground truth is not available.
Also, one can deliberately introduce changes in previous image and then test if the algorithm correctly captured those changes.
What other techniques exist for the task?
