The Role
This international engineering consultancy require a GIS Software Developer to join the team in Qatar. The successful candidate will join a team involved in the development of several technical solutions to support a high profile international engineering/construction project. The job will involve geospatial software development, with strong experience developing web solutions using ESRI ArcGIS Server, ASP.NET and JavaScript libraries.
Responsibilities include:
* Support the specification, documentation and design of technical solutions
* Development of OpenLayer and ArcGIS client API map components
* Provide technical assistance and support to other developers within the project team
* Perform and deliver allocated project tasks, to quality, time and budget requirements, as directed by team leader
* To provide input to the development of the deployment plan.
* To document agreed solutions according to project standards.
* Communicate effectively with colleagues and clients
* To support the deployment of the solution, including preparation and delivery of analysis, demonstrations, workshops, training and documentation. Requirements
To apply candidates should meet the following criteria
*A relevant degree i.e. IT or Mathematics
*A proven track record within the IT/GIS industry, developing solutions with Geospatial technology
*Exposure and experience working in an agile development environment
*Proficiency in ASP.NET, C#.NET, HTML, CSS, JavaScript , AJAX, Jquery, REST and SOAP
*Experience in the development of solutions using one or more of ESRI ArcGIS for SharePoint; ESRI ArcGIS API for Silverlight/WPF; Open source GIS (e.g. OpenLayers and GeoServer); Oracle Spatial; PostgreSQL / PostGIS; Java; OGC standards; Microsoft SharePoint; JQuery
