GIS Manager

My client is a leading European engineering consultancy with an excellent reputation and a track record in the Middle East spanning over 30 years. They have recently been appointed the role of planning and integration consultant for the Qatar Central Planning Office and are currently looking to recruit a GIS Manager to over see a team of around 7 - 8. The candidate will be the main contact for GIS and IM within the regional planning office and will be charged with developing this capability within the office. The candidate will also identify opportunities to utilise GIS and will prepare methodologies and cost estimates for GIS elements of project bids.
Candidates must have a degree or equivalent in GIS or a related field and have a proven track record in managing a team of GIS consultants and analysts. Candidates will ave expertise in preparation of methodologies and cost estimates for bids and also developing and growth of GIS functions with large organisations. Candidates must have the following technical skill.s
- Expertise using ESRI ArcGIS.
- Expertise using ESRI ArcGIS extensions.
- Expertise in providing GIS services to multi discipline, client focused project environments.
- Expertise in dealing with clients and stakeholders face to face.
- Ability to advise on GIS capabilities internally and externally.
- Understanding of spacial data formats and spatial reference systems.
- The ability to travel throughout the Gulf region.
- Excellent English communication skills.

Salary : $100000 to $125000
