GIS Analyst

The Role
Exciting opportunity to join a leading international engineering consultancy who are working on a range of civil engineering and build projects in Qatar. The successful candidate will join a team of geospatial and information management professionals who provide a range of services from data acquisition, spatial analysis, information and data management, to systems design and integration. The aim is to deliver innovative, quality solutions to our clients to enable them to use data to make well informed decisions in a user friendly and intuitive environment.
Responsibilities will include:
-Completion of tasks received from engineers and the GIS manager.
-Integration of data from multiple sources into spatial data repository.
-Analysis, interrogation and manipulation of spatial data received from stakeholders and third parties.
-Spatial and temporal analysis of data.
-Preparation of sketches & figures.
-Adherence to project GIS and data management manual.
-Adherence to project quality procedures.
-Look for opportunities to use GIS and information management processes to increase efficiency on the project.
Requirements-Integration of data from multiple sources into spatial data repository.

-Adherence to project quality procedures.

A degree or equivalent in GIS or a related field.
-A track record using ESRI ArcGIS
-Able to provide GIS support to multidiscipline, client focused, project environments.
-Understanding of spatial data formats and spatial reference systems.
-Good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
-Proven expertise of delivering to deadlines within pressurised environments.
-Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English.
