•Review the results of geotechnical investigations from previous studies
•Prepare the studies for borrows pits areas and material for the different layers of the new
railway
•Prepare the program and detailed specifications of geotechnical investigations including
pits, geophysics, drilling, in situ tests, sampling and laboratory testing and analyzing.
•Prepare the studies for sand mitigation measures
•Prepare special specifications for the civil engineers to design foundations, injection, grouting
and others as required.
•The Geotechnical Engineer will identify the possible sources of materials for the earthworks,
infrastructure and the paving works and will be responsible to define the geotechnical survey
, to inspect the execution of the open pits excavations and the drilling for core samples in
order to ascertain the nature of the foundation layer for the design of all structures.
•Responsible to check periodically the laboratory equipment conditions in order to
ascertain the accuracy of the readings and measurements.
•Make all required calculations regarding the stability of slopes, cuts and fills according
to the nature of the terrain geology of the area, giving recommendations on the limits not to
be exceeded in the design.
•Supervising technical specifications, drawings, and quantities and cost
rates applicable to the specific sections of the geotechnical constraints of the Project.
•Assist the Civil Engineer on the preparation of reports and documents in his field of
specialization during design review period and during projects execution period.
•Reviewing the field Works by geotechnical report during projects execution period.

Skills
1-Civil or Geological Engineer
