The Pearl Gas to Liquids (GTL) project includes the development of offshore natural gas resources in Qatar’s North Field. Upstream, natural gas is produced, transported and processed to produce 120,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day of condensate, liquefied petroleum gas and ethane. Downstream, dry gas is used as feedstock to produce 140,000 barrels per day of clean, high quality GTL fuels and products.
We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Geo-Information Analyst.
Responsibilities:
You will be accountable for:
- Designing and delivering geo-information solutions, including mapping and spatial analysis, in support of project team activities,
- Updating and maintaining history of the North Field seabed site surveys,
- Incorporating new data into integrated data models (APDM, SSDM),
- Managing all types of geo information in corporate and project databases,
- Ensuring consistency and compliancy of spatial databases through active QC of data,
- Providing expertise and supporting in geo-information to the business, actively participating in a Middle East regional and Global peer network,
- Playing a leading role in strengthening Geomatics links to activities such as exploration, geophysics, engineering/design projects, operations and well engineering, and
- Coaching and mentoring staff.

المهارات
You must have a MSc in Geomatics or equivalent. You have proven experience in Geomatics (geo-information management, spatial modeling, spatial analysis and cartography) preferably in the oil & gas industry. You must have experience working with ESRI GIS software tools, including GIS scripting, web development and supplementary data manipulation tools.
You have strong skills in (spatial) analysis, management and visualisation/presentation of geo-information, the design and implementation of geo-data models and the design and management of spatial information systems. In addition, you have full understanding of associated disciplines such as geodesy, remote sensing, cartography and geography and the ability to apply relevant principles from those disciplines.
You have proven ability to translate customer requirements into effective geo-information solutions and able to provide expert advice. You must be abreast with developments in the geo-information market from a business and technical perspective.
You must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization. Fluency in both written and verbal English is mandatory. You are delivery oriented, have good interpersonal skills and have proven ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural/multi-disciplinary team, and cross-organizational environment.
