JobDescription
1.Ensures quality of work and supervision.
2.Develops and maintains QA and QC procedures for all GIS related activities.
3.Conducts Land Reservation and Land Management activities as directed by KOC
Staff.
4.Conduct site visits and minor survey activities to validate and or verify survey data.
5.Assist in the development and design of the GIS database.
6.Assist in the development of all required database documentation.
7.Perform Spatial and Data Analyst tasks.
8.Using GIS systems to edit data create reports and generate maps.
9.Assist in the maintenance and preparation all field survey data for inclusion to GIS
database.
10.Ensure and develop procedures for QC and QA of all data to be included into the GIS
database. This includes, but is not limited to, topology correction, real world logic,
accuracy and completeness of both spatial and attributes information.
Provides technical support to the operational functions.
11.Review appropriateness and preparation of external data for GIS inclusion
12.B.Sc. in GIS or closely related field.
13.4 years’ of work experience with GIS, preferably using ESRI’s ArcGIS
software platform.
14.Previous experience with GIS database design and maintenance.
15.Previous experience with scripting and GIS application programming is preferred.
16.Understanding of data collection techniques and related issues.
17.Previous experience in data conversion and experience with GIS data and CAD data
integration.
18.Proficient skill in cartography as well as coordinate systems and projections.
Working knowledge of CAD software packages.
