Use Map Snapshots and Auto Recolour Grids to get a zoomed in view of anomalies in your grid.
1. Zoom in and use Map > Create Snapshot to save the map extents as a new snapshot.
2. Then toggle the Auto Recolour Grid tool to stretch the colour ramp over the zoomed in area.
