Organizing your online life with Favorites

There are a variety of ways that you can organize content you frequently use, or content that you are currently using for a project and want to keep easily accessible. Groups are one way to organize items. But Favorites are an even easier way way*to keep tabs on frequently used items, and have them just a click away.

My Favorites – a special type of gallery

After you login you will find My Favorites by clicking Gallery:



By default your organization’s featured content gallery is displayed. Click My Favorites to display your currently chosen favorites.



If you’ve not yet added to your favorites list you’ll see an empty gallery with instructions.



Adding items to My Favorites

To add to your Favorites, go to another gallery, or the item details, and click the star that appears on hover in the upper left of the item thumbnail. All item types are supported – maps, layers, apps, files, and tools.



To remove the items, go to the item details or My Favorites and click the star again:



Using Favorites to streamline map authoring

You can use Favorites to streamline your workflow when authoring maps. Favorite the layers you frequently use, or are using for a particular project, and they’ll be easily found. Click Add, then Search for Layers, then click My Favorites:
