Last year TomTom introduced a major redesign to its Android app. It brought a really cool new user interface and a “freemium” model. Users can download the map of the whole world (or each country separately) and use it for the first 50 miles or 75km monthly for free.*Drivers can than upgrade to unlimited kilometers*with an in-app purchase that costs $22.19 (or €19.99) for one year and $51.99 (€44.99) for three years subscription.
Now the new app and the new model is available to iPhone users. The app offers navigation, routing, online or offline maps of 150 countries, as well as real-time traffic and speed camera information.
why would you use premium navigation app if Google Maps are available for free?
