With considerable effort put into this project that started all the way back over two years ago with several large scale areas covered with the following areas covered in their individual plates: Cunberland County, Amherst, Cape Chignecto Provincial Park, Parrsboro, Colchester County, Truro and Bible Hill, Hants County, Windsor, Kings County, Kentville, Wolfville, Cape Blomidon Provincial Park, Cape Split Provincial Park Reserve, and lastly so far Minas Basin Fundy Ecotour Tourism Scenic Drive. The most later one the Minas Basin Project is the overall combination of the aforementioned locations which is being presented here today though some have already been posted in my previous thread.
It is noted therefore that while I am posting if memory serves you correctly and noticeably that some changes in the design had taken place, the DEM scheme the most notably now compromises a gray-scale image as opposed to the previous yellow colouring that took place. So here are the details:
The Software
A scale of roughly 1:29000 on a 32 by 23 inch sheet displayed as a wall map. A customized north arrow inspired by the occult symbol of John Dee, gray scale digital elevation hillshade, (though thanks to a video I have finally found out how to utilize Tom Patterson's method utilizing Photoshop CS3; though not on this particular map). Inspired by love of travelling when I actually get to do my imaginary takes me to many locations that I wish to visit and places that I have visited and wish to return. The Minas Basin area is partially part of the Evangeline Line Trail system of the Annapolis Valley area of Nova Scotia and the Glooscap Trail. There are many beaches, sandy cliffs and other unique geological features. The area has a fascinating history of ship building, with the most well known the Mary Celeste born near Parrsboro if I recall right that the crew vanished presumably in the famous Bermuda Triangle.
Intention of the Project
Though there are corrections to be made with this project the main intention is get my foot back into the door as a freelancer for hire despite obvious blocks in my own personality as that is to be overcome by the degree of difficulty of a psychological consideration that all human beings have obvious weaknesses to overcome. (Thank you GI Gurdjieff) And besides learning is fun, more apparent when one has creative talent.

- Google Earth
- Inkscape
- Migrated the Inkscape file into Adobe Illustrator CS3 (very fortunate to have found a download copy on the internet with both of my old keys still availiabler)
