Some options I'm still contemplating:
- Using a Natural Earth terrain backdrop instead of a plain area fill.
- Cropping it closer, especially on the west side, to the area actually covered by the expedition.
- If I'm not cropping it, adding some more labels so the map can also be used to illustrate some of the search expeditions.
