Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) Requirements and Applications
Summary:
The Georgia Department of Natural Resources Coastal Resources Division served as the pilot program to assess the feasibility of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) for natural resource monitoring and assessment. First, we will cover the legal requirement for UAV operations, flight logistics, software utilized, imagery processing, and utility of UAV. Second, we will perform a live demonstration and review safety and logistics consideration in the field.
About the Presenter:
Charles “Buck” Bennett has been employed by the State of Georgia for 26 years. He served as the Habitat Program Manager and most recently as the Compliance and Enforcement Manager for the Coastal Resources Division, Georgia Department of Natural Resources, in Brunswick, Georgia.
